Sugar issues like Diabetes, Insulin Resistance, Hyperglycemia and Syndrome X is so common today– either we have one of these problems or someone we know does. I used to be Insulin Resistant and I still have a sugar sensitivity. So today I decided to share with you some of my personal tips on how to be on a raw food diet and still maintain a balanced blood sugar level. It is possible and infact over time you can reverse these conditions.
So today I decided to update you on how my own health journey is going. As you may know from a video I did over the summer, I reversed Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) naturally with a raw food diet. I did have one symptom though that was still lingering and towards the end of the summer/early fall I was able to reverse it as well while doing a lot of Juice Fasting.
Over the past few months I have been doing a lot of Juice Fasting and hosting monthly 10-Day Juice Fasting Programs, I find it the easiest and fastest way to reverse chronic health conditions. Even just making sure to have a few cups of green juice every day makes all the difference.
So check out today’s video to hear my story of what I recently reversed and also hear about what I’m still working on!!

From coaching a lot of people with all sorts of health conditions or weight loss goals, I know about the dreaded ‘plateau.’ I know the frustration that comes with putting so much effort into changing one’s lifestyle, diet and habits and suddenly seeing the results just suddenly stop. It is terribly frustrating and I feel for everyone that encounters this, but from working with people who encounter this ‘plateau’, I’ve also seen them move through the ‘plateau’, reach their goals and get to the other side.
Diet and lifestyle are so important– but it’s not everything. There is an emotional and mental component to health and wellness as well, that is just as important. For many, that is the missing link and once they work through certain issues in their life they simultaneously work passed the plateau as well.
I know there are a lot of you out there struggling to overcome a sugar addiction. I myself was addicted to sugar for years, I could barely function without sugar and I was terrified to give it up. But as much as I relied on it to stimulate me and give me a pick-me-up, I also knew that it was the root cause of my lack of energy, mood swings, brain fog, irritability and chronic health conditions. I have to say the day I gave up sugar was the most freeing day of my life!! As uncomfortable as it is to give up any addiction— it’s so worth it!
So today I give you some tips on how to break the sugar addiction once and for all.
I’ve seen many people beat themselves up over falling off their diet– it may be a meal or it may turn into a complete bender! It happens, no one is perfect and we have to remind ourselves because there is nothing worse than falling off your healthy diet and then on top of it getting upset with yourself.
I believe that the feeling of guilt, shame and putting yourself down is way worse than the actual food itself!
I’ve been asked many times if I have ever fallen off the raw food path– and yes, there was a point in my raw food journey where I took the cooked junk food path. It was a short detour, but something I needed to do and experience, and I have absolutely no regrets.
Check out today’s episode to find out what happened and why.
