  1. Natasha, thanks for all the great tips and information! You should think about writing a Raw Cookbook!! You always seem to have simple and easy ideas.

  2. Hi Natasha! I just discovered your website and listened to this video blog and it immediately got my attention because I have been eating 80/10/10 for the past two years. At first it felt amazing, and I’d go for long stretches without adding in any overt fats at all. But this second year it started not feeling as good to be that low in fat. I was afraid to add more fat in, but I was craving it. And like you, I started overeating on fruit (and greens too). I’d eat and eat until my belly was uncomfortably full, but I didn’t ever feel satisfied. I couldn’t go without eating at night as I would constantly wake up to pee, which is such a drag.

So after listening to this last night, I decided to experiment today. I had a tablespoon of chia seeds with my breakfast, about 3/4 of an ounce of pumpkin seeds with lunch, and a half an ounce of walnuts with my late afternoon meal. And – amazing! I feel so solid and satisfied. I haven’t felt this good in a long time. I wasn’t even hungry between meals, or after my last one either.

I entered my food into CronoMeter and I’m at 14% fat for the day – still pretty low fat! And I was able to be satisfied on only 2000 calories, unlike my usual intake of 2600-3000 calories. I was worried about not doing proper food combining, but I had no trouble digesting the fruit and greens with the seeds and nuts today. This is so wonderful! Thank you so much for the inspiration and information. I’m so grateful, and I will continue to experiment and find the level of fat that works best for me at this point in my journey.

Peace, love and pumpkin seeds, Gretchen 🙂
