What Do You Eat On A Raw Food Diet?
A Raw Food Diet consists of eating fresh, ripe, organic, unprocessed and uncooked fruit, vegetables, greens, sprouts, sea vegetables, nuts, seeds. Food is not heated over 104 degrees Fahrenheit in order to preserve all the nutrition (cooking & heat typically destroys half the nutrients found in food).
Besides eating simple fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, raw food dishes can be much more elaborate. Examples of raw food dishes and beverages are salads, fruit purées, freshly pressed fruit or vegetable juices, smoothies, nut-based ice creams & milks. sprouted grains or legumes, fermented/cultured vegetables, coconut water kefir, raw honey, dried fruit, dehydrated crackers, chips and gourmet raw dishes.
