Over the weekend I received an email from a viewer that just started the raw food diet. She was concerned because she is having major bloating, gas, constipation for the past 2 weeks and it’s not getting any better. I would be concerned as well!!
This does happen to quite a few people and it also reminds me of the many people who tell me they’d love to eat raw fruits and vegetables but they just get so bloated. I always feel terrible when I hear this because people think its the fruits and vegetables that is causing the bloating and gas– but infact its actually a clogged up intestinal track. Think about it– when a pipe is clogged, nothing can go down, it just sits and putrifies, that exactly what happens to someone who has a clogged up intestinal track– what ever they eat, stays in the stomch too long and starts to ferment, and therefore causing all the gas and bloat. It’s not the food, its the person!!
Check out today’s video and I’ll explain what you can do to unclog your colon, how to eat when you have this problem and other easy tips to ensure no gas or bloating!
We can all agree that fresh fruits & vegetables can get expensive, especially fresh organic fruits & vegetables!! Over time I’ve figured out ways to save money and not be spending a fortune on my food– it takes a little creativity and some investigation into local merchants that can sell you food at a better price and being creative in the foods you buy and what you do with them. In today’s video I give you some tips that have helped me!

When going 100% raw or transitioning into a high raw diet, we all have certain foods that we are attached to. I’ve noticed that quite a few people just can’t let go of the bread!!! So today’s episode I offer you some ideas and substitutes that have worked well for me, including this fabulous dip that I’ve created, it just hits the spot!!
Sunflower & Hemp Seed Dip:
2 Cups soaked & sprouted hulled Sunflower Seeds
1/2 Cup hulled Sesame Seeds
1/2 Cup shelled Hemp Seeds
1/3 Cup red onion
1 Cup loosely chopped fresh Parsley
2 lemons (juice of)
4 medium cloves garlic
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1 1/2 tsp celtic sea salt
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Wash hulled Sunflower Seeds, and soak in water for 8 hours. Rinse and drain and place in a colander for 2 hours at room temperature (for Sunflower Seeds to sprout).
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth (if the blender is having a difficult time blending, you can always add 1/4C – 1/2 C water to get the blender started.
