My yoga teacher said yesterday ‘Don’t leave before the miracle comes.’ How many times do we go for something and than stop half way through because of obstacles, doubt or just the fear of leaving our comfort zone?

A lot of times we associate happiness with reaching our goals. The so-called, “Once I get ___, I will be happy” Does that really happen? I know for myself that the moment I make my happiness depend on something outside myself and something far off in the future, I am setting myself up for disaster.

I’ve also seen how people reach their goals even quicker when they do the opposite– they determine to be happy right now and to enjoy the process. Weight loss, changing one’s diet, getting healthy– these thing don’t have to be a torturous experience– in fact it can be the opposite.

I always think about how ‘Time flies when you are having fun.” The same is true with everything— things happen and they happen quick when you are having a good time!
