Raw Food Diet & Being On A Budget, Ep80

September 25th, 2009 Natasha No comments

We can all agree that fresh fruits & vegetables can get expensive, especially fresh organic fruits & vegetables!! Over time I’ve figured out ways to save money and not be spending a fortune on my food– it takes a little creativity and some investigation into local merchants that can sell you food at a better price and being creative in the foods you buy and what you do with them. In today’s video I give you some tips that have helped me!

For those of you that want more information on food pesticides, food safety and a good list of produce that are safe / harmful, I suggest checking out Environmental Working Group’s website, click here

Also, next weeks Juice Feast is coming up and don’t wait until the last minute to sign up!! Starting Monday, I’ll be sending out info about how to prepare for the feast to all participants. Click Here to sign up.

Also, the documentary film Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days, the companion 2-Disc Raw for Life DVD set, or both are HALF OFF until midnight tonight– I LOVE this documentary & DVD Encyclopedia–super inspiring & informative!! Click here to get you copy now!!

Skin, Digestion, Blood Sugar Issues–Mixing Fruit & Nuts, Ep59

Today I go a little further into the topic of food combining and I talk specifically about eating fruits and fats (nuts, seeds, oils, coconut meat, avocados, etc..). A lot of raw foodists have digestive distress from eating fruits and fats in the same meal, for example the delicious raw dessert that is made out of dried fruits and nuts– that can be a bomb in some people’s stomachs!!! But on the other end of things, adding a few nuts or seeds to a fruit meal can actually stabilize some people’s blood sugar–so what do you do?!!! Well, today I talk about the warning signs from your body that will tell you whether the fruit/fat combination works for you or no.

By listening to your body, you will have all the answers!

Food Is Your Friend, Ep50

It always freaks me out when people talk about cutting food groups out of their diet, like ‘no more nuts,’ ‘gotta cut down on the fruit.’ I hear this a lot and it upsets me because already the raw food diet can seem quite limiting compared to other diets, and them suddenly people start talking about limiting it even more!!!! Oi!! We all need to be reminded that food is our Friend. Food is created by nature to nourish and sustain us- food is created to eat and to enjoy!!
