I was walking on the street yesterday and snow flakes started floating down from the sky! It’s mid-October and I’m not a big fan of Montreal winters– but I definitely have quite a few tricks on how to stay warm and most of all, how to stay on a raw food diet during the colder seasons.
I received an email last week asking me how we can avoid gaining weight as we age. The person who wrote me is about to turn 30 and she’s been told that after 30, people gain weight… I myself have heard this many many many times. I can’t tell you how many articles I’ve read on the subject of gaining weight as we age.
I’ve also done quite a bit of research on senior citizens who take up body building and competitive sports later in life. You have to see them, a lot of them are in better shape than most 20 year olds!! Many of them appear 20-30 years younger than they really are!!
My conclusion– yes, we can gain weight as we age, especially if we eat more and move less, but we can also be the exception, we can choose to have the most incredibly hot body at any age– it’s your choice!!
Yesterday I talked about supplements, today I talk about ‘Superfoods!!’ I get a lot of emails asking me what my opinion is on superfoods– are they really that great?!!!! I don’t necessarily believe that superfoods have supernatural nutritional power– but I do believe there is a place for them in a healthy diet. They offer variety and can help people transition to raw. Whatever you are doing that helps you continue eating healthy food— continue doing it!!
So, check out today’s video and you’ll hear about what I think of superfoods, what I recommend to my coaching clients, how to eat them, etc..

So today I talk about supplements, whether we need supplements or not and what is the real meaning behind them. Most people never think of what to beware of when taking them and what are nature’s most important free supplements!!!

I am always asked to describe what I eat in a typical day. Everyone is always curious how raw fooders survive and what is the secret behind their youthful glow. Well, if you follow my blog (apart from the past 8 day where I’ve been on a juice feast/liquid diet), I usually post what I eat. So today I talk about my diet and what works for me and what doesn’t.
