Living in the North, short days, -30 degree weather and lack of sunshine for 5-6 months out of the year can make anyone very sad!! Most of my life I had seasonal depression, and even years ago I moved overseas to Australia & Asia for 2 years to get away from the harsh Canadian climate.

Anyway, I realized that my mood all winter has ben extremely balanced, no lows at all!!! So today I decided to share my top 5 tips on keeping a balanced mood and what has helped me.

Book Recommendation to Re-Inspire! Ep154

January 15th, 2010 Natasha 10 comments

Well, its my 34th birthday tomorrow!!! To be quite honest, this time of year is a little depressing for me. I know many people can relate. Something about being in the middle of winter, just getting over all the excitement of the holidays and well, it can leave people feeling a little drained and down. For me, something about my birthday always makes me reflect about the past year and where I am at now– for some reason I start feeling a little down & irritated!

So, what do I do? I sure don’t want to stay in this funk– so I do what I love to do that I know I can always draw some inspiration from and also help change my perspective and mindset– I read inspiring books!! I LOVE to read!! So today I am sharing with you the book that I am currently reading that has really helped me to step out of the blues and move forward. Anthony Robbins’ book Awaken the Giant Within is fantastic– a must read for anyone that wants to take their life as far as it can go!!! Click on the image below for more info.

Journaling Ideas & Stress Reduction, Ep47

Happy Monday Everyone!

On an episode last week I talked about the importance of ‘checking in’ with yourself and how writing in a journal always helps me gain perspective on what’s going on in my life and is also a fantastic tool to help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, grief and anger. Over the weekend I received an email asking me how I keep a journal, what do I write about and what are some questions I ask myself on a daily basis. I loved the question, so I decided to base today’s episode all on journaling.

In order to be radiantly healthy, we’ve got to have all areas of our life supported and strong, so along with our diet and fitness– our emotional, mental and spiritual health are just as important.
