Is Sugar Bad For You?, Ep78

September 23rd, 2009 Natasha 8 comments

Today I talk all about sugar. I used to be addicted to sugar, like hard core!!!! Getting off of sugar was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but also the main thing that turned my life around. I truly believe that sugar is the underlying cause of most, if not all, health problems.

Recently I read a great book about sugar, it gives you the full story of sugar, its history, how it’s made, what it does to you, etc.. fabulous book and a must read for anyone that once had an uncontrolable relationship with sugar, or for someone that needs the information & motivation to stop.

How To Make Juice With A Blender, Ep76

September 21st, 2009 Natasha 2 comments

I’ve been receiving a lot of emails asking me all sorts of questions about the upcoming Juice Feast we’ll be doing at the beginning of October. One question in particular that many people are asking is if it’s possible to join the Juice Feast, even if you don’t have a juicer! And my answer is YES!!!

If you have a blender and a nut milk bag, you can make fresh juice– green juice, vegetable juice and fruit juice– no problem!

So check out today’s video on how to make juice with a blender, and also I give you a few tips as well on how to do the juice feast on a budget. Juice feasting is about health, happiness and fun– there is no need to worry about affording the produce for the juices– there is always a way of finding and using cheap greens, vegetables & fruit– you just have to be creative and resourceful!!

For me, the biggest benefits of getting on a raw food diet is the increased energy. No more mid-afternoon naps, no need for coffee and stimulants and I never feel like I’m in a fog or dragging myself around. I’m a very busy girl and I love the fact that I can do everything I want, and even more!!!

Yesterday I talked about supplements, today I talk about ‘Superfoods!!’ I get a lot of emails asking me what my opinion is on superfoods– are they really that great?!!!! I don’t necessarily believe that superfoods have supernatural nutritional power– but I do believe there is a place for them in a healthy diet. They offer variety and can help people transition to raw. Whatever you are doing that helps you continue eating healthy food— continue doing it!!
