Hitting A Plateau & Your Mental Attitude, Ep112

November 11th, 2009 Natasha 1 comment

From coaching a lot of people with all sorts of health conditions or weight loss goals, I know about the dreaded ‘plateau.’ I know the frustration that comes with putting so much effort into changing one’s lifestyle, diet and habits and suddenly seeing the results just suddenly stop. It is terribly frustrating and I feel for everyone that encounters this, but from working with people who encounter this ‘plateau’, I’ve also seen them move through the ‘plateau’, reach their goals and get to the other side.

Diet and lifestyle are so important– but it’s not everything. There is an emotional and mental component to health and wellness as well, that is just as important. For many, that is the missing link and once they work through certain issues in their life they simultaneously work passed the plateau as well.

I was walking on the street yesterday and snow flakes started floating down from the sky! It’s mid-October and I’m not a big fan of Montreal winters– but I definitely have quite a few tricks on how to stay warm and most of all, how to stay on a raw food  diet during the colder seasons.

Is Sugar Bad For You?, Ep78

September 23rd, 2009 Natasha 8 comments

Today I talk all about sugar. I used to be addicted to sugar, like hard core!!!! Getting off of sugar was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but also the main thing that turned my life around. I truly believe that sugar is the underlying cause of most, if not all, health problems.

Recently I read a great book about sugar, it gives you the full story of sugar, its history, how it’s made, what it does to you, etc.. fabulous book and a must read for anyone that once had an uncontrolable relationship with sugar, or for someone that needs the information & motivation to stop.
