Motivation, Ep41

Its July 31st!!! As everyone knows I love endings and I love beginnings even more… so tomorrow is August, lets start fresh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today’s episode is all about the motivation to live the life you want and be the person you want to be.

Motivation, Ep41

Today’s Food:

1 Cup green juice (spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, strawberries)

3 mangos

2 bananas

Sunflower & Hemp Seed Dip w/carrots and cucumber

Raw Granola (spouted buckwheat, sprouted sunflower seeds & pumpkin seeds, walnuts, dates, goji berries)

1 pint raspberries

1 pint Blueberries

raw vanilla macaroons


Today’s Exercise:

2.5 hours bike riding

Bread Cravings and Sunflower & Hemp Seed Dip Recipe, Ep40

When going 100% raw or transitioning into a high raw diet, we all have certain foods that we are attached to. I’ve noticed that quite a few people just can’t let go of the bread!!! So today’s episode I offer you some ideas and substitutes that have worked well for me, including this fabulous dip that I’ve created, it just hits the spot!!

Sunflower&HempSeedDip

Sunflower & Hemp Seed Dip:

2 Cups soaked & sprouted hulled Sunflower Seeds

1/2 Cup hulled Sesame Seeds

1/2 Cup shelled Hemp Seeds

1/3 Cup red onion

1 Cup loosely chopped fresh Parsley

2 lemons (juice of)

4 medium cloves garlic

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp cumin

1 1/2 tsp celtic sea salt

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Wash hulled Sunflower Seeds, and soak in water for 8 hours. Rinse and drain and place in a colander for 2 hours at room temperature (for Sunflower Seeds to sprout).

Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth (if the blender is having a difficult time blending, you can always add 1/4C – 1/2 C water to get the blender started.

Today’s food:

1 Cup green juice (spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, kiwi)

1 Pint blueberries

1/2 Cup raspberries

1.5 litres green smoothie (kale, bananas, blueberries, dulse, hemp seeds)

Sunflower & Hemp Seed Dip

1 head Cauliflower

1 pint cherry tomatoes

1/2 red pepper

1/2 cucumber


Today’s Exercise:

Is Sunscreen Safe?, Ep39

So it’s summer time and we are constantly hearing that we should cover our skin with sunscreen and protect ourselves from the sun’s UV rays… but is that sunscreen really safe to be using on a daily basis?

I find the topic of sun & skin health to be quite confusing, especially because I have fair skin, burn quite easily and all the information out there is quite contradictory. So over the years I’ve done research on how I can naturally preserve the youthfulness of my skin and still enjoy the sun.

Today’s episode is about sunscreen and tips on how to protect & preserve your wonderful skin!

Today’s Food:

1 Cup green juice (spinach, cucumber, celery, apple, strawberries)

1.5 cantaloupes

2 Cups cherries

3 Cups watermelon

1 banana

5 nori rolls (nori, romaine, sprouts, cilantro, onion, tomato, avocado)

1 salad (romaine, sesame seeds, hemps seeds, lemon, grapefruit, garlic)


Today’s Exercise:

2.5 hours bike riding

How To Make Natural Body Cream / Moisturizer, Ep38

Today I show you step by step how to make your own body cream– super simple, a great moisturizer and it smells heavenly!!!

How To Make Natural Body Cream, Ep38

Cacao Grapefruit Body Cream

1/3 Cup Coconut Oil (Organic, Raw, Cold Pressed)

1/3 Cup Cacao Butter (Organic, Raw, Cold Pressed)

1 heaping Tbsp Shea Butter (Organic, Raw, Cold Pressed)

15 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil

Place all ingredients in a glass jar or bowl and either place in a dehydrator (at 105 degrees for an hour or so– until melted), or heat water in a pot on the stove (not boiling, but hot), place ingredients in a tall glass jar and place jar in shallow water until oil has melted. Then place the glass jar with melted oil in the refrigerator for an hour until contents are solid. Remove from refrigerator and put a lid on jar. Cream is ready to use!!

What’s an easy way to lose a few pounds or get rid of bloat and water retention– easy, drinking water!! We often forget, or in my case, I can be too lazy to drink extra water– but the benefits are far beyond the extra effort it takes to fill the water jar. So today’s episode is all about water, the benefits of being hydrated and also what the best water we should be drinking– filtered or spring water?
